Everybody's been sick.  Leia was the first, just before the new guy (Joe) came.  The Ryeleigh barfed all over the Headmasters bed, then I got it (and actually pooped myself, which we will not talk of any further) and now Joe has it. The crud only seems to last a day or so, but all sorts of exciting things happen during that 24 hour period.  Joe puked on the headmaster yesterday and has been goldbricking all day today pretending to be too ill to do any work.  That kid has potential.

Dog Camp - Rumor around the homestead is that we are all going to dog camp for a week.  Dog camp is DOG PRISON. We are not amused.  I will attempt to document our imprisonment.  Stay tuned to this blog for the horrible details.

Dang, now I do have to be TD.  Seamus died this afternoon.  Ryeleigh is oldest, but doesn't like to be the boss and Leia is Leia - I mean, she is just too timid to be TD.  So I guess it's up to me.
The Big Guy - Seamus - is sick.  We don't know what is wrong with him, but he isn't eating and he isn't drinking much.  I liked pretending that I was the Top Dog when Zeke went away, it made it a little easier to take his departure, but we all know that Seamus is TD.  Here's calling in all the good JuJu people can muster so he can get well and let me chew on his hind legs when we go for a walk.

I caught the Headmaster lookin' at websites tonight that claim they sell products to remove 'tear stains" from dogs.  I don't know what are tear stains, but I do know that I don't like it when he rubs stuff on my face.  I can't really tell any difference, but I think the idea is that it will remove the warpaint I put on to look cool and tough.  I mean, really, come on, why can people do makeup and tattoos and all that, and I can't even get away with a little red paint on my face.  I tell you, it just isn't right.

The Old Guy is gone.  I'm not surprised, as he told me a while back that he had more important things to do,  The most important result of his departure, however, is that I now have to be top dog.  You would think that the biggest dog - Seamus - would be top dog, but he just isn't interested. The same is true of Ryeleigh, who just isn't interested in anything except protecting the house from Butch, the mailman.  Leia thinks sh is tough, but, seriously, she's a pushover. That leaves me and, as the Old Guy told me it was my responsibility, I guess I'll take the job.  Evi is now Top Dog. Jes sayin.

Okay, it's been a while, but we went out to the land today and I had ever so much fun running through the snow.  There would be pictures, but a fuzzy white dog covered with snow looks like a fuzzy white dog.

Okay, I know that I haven't posted for a while, but we are on term holiday and I have been ever so busy. Momma and Dori came from California to visit and the three of us got to go down to Pittsburgh and see Daisy, so that was fun.  We also got haircuts (Momma got hers cut at a different place than Dori and I did, but I'm glad we didn't go there as she smelled really funny when she came home.  It took a couple of days before she returned to normal.

Right after New Year's Momma and Dori went back to California and it turned cold and snowy here in Pennsylvania.  Leia and I went out one evening and only got about 100 yards up the street before she went on strike and demanded to be carried. That's 3 houses or so by the way , not 100 real yards.  Humans have a strange way of bending words around to mean different things.  Anyway, i figured that if she could be carried then I could be carried, but the headmaster did not agree.  We did turn around and go home, though, so I got out of the cold. (Seamus, by the way, loves snow and cold.  He's nuts.)

It has warmed up now and all the snow is melting.  Headmaster says we will still be punished with more Winter, but I say any say in the 40s is a day my feet don't stick to the ground and that's a good thing.
